The Hoarder Awakens
I will be completely honest with you and say that Star Wars is my original fandom. A New Hope is one of the first movies I ever saw as a child, I've forced the series on many of my friends, and Han and Leia's snarky chemistry is one that I've always tried to have in my relationships.
A few people at work have asked me recently "How many Star Wars tshirts do you own?" and I honestly didn't know the number off the top of my head, and that's not even counting figurines, comics, posters, and other rando (heehee Lando) memorabilia.
A friend in college told me that she had only seen the prequels (INCLUDING EPISODE III) and had never seen the original trilogy, and I shouted at her and questioned her upbringing if her parents robbed her of some of the greatest "WHAAAAA?!" moments I had experienced in my childhood.
Star Wars is a big part of my life. And I'm proud to say that when I watched TFA, my eyes swelled with tears upon hearing the first swell of John Williams' score.
If you didn't guess that I was a nerd before, there you go.
